Pictish Arts Society

The announcement of an award of £3,500 to the Pictish Arts Society has been met with delight by members of the committee. President Norman Atkinson greeted the news by remarking:

“The Pictish Arts Society is delighted that its bid for lottery funding has been successful. The grant means that we will have on-site at Pictavia all the equipment necessary to support those who present the increasingly popular series of winter lectures and other presentations at venues throughout Scotland.

“Future developments include cataloguing the Pictish Arts Society resource materials held at Pictavia and digitising photographs and slides which will then be available for reference in our centre of learning in the centre of Pictland.”

The award has been made for the purchase of various pieces of computer and video equipment which will be detailed in the official awards announcement.
